The appearance day of Lord Ramacandra and the anniversary of the installation of Sri Sri Gaura Nitai, Krishna Balaram and Radha Shyamasundara by Srila Prabhupada.
Observations begin the day before, with a special sobha yatra, a procession of the three sets of Utsava Murtis (small deities) carried on palanquins by devotees accompanied by kirtan. They will visit all the different temple departments, Srila Prabhupadas house, Samadhi and Gurukula and finishing with an offering of arati in the MVT gardens. The program begins at 4:20 pm.
On the day of the anniversary, starting at 8 am, we will hear memories from different devotees who were present at the installation in 1975 going until 10 am. At 10:15 there will be an elaborate abhishek of all the small deities in the main temple room. The program will culminate in kirtan during noon arati and a grand feast will be served at 1:30.
The program will continue at 4:30 with the first darshan of a beautiful flower outfit offered to all the deities.
