After bathing in the waters of the sacred Ganges many times, one becomes purified, but just by the sight of you, the fallen souls are purified. This is your great power.
All glories to the exalted and merciful devotees of the Lord, who, out of causeless mercy, purify the conditioned living entities and plant within their hearts the seed of Krishna Bhakti just by giving them their divine audience. One must go and bathe in the sacred river Ganges in order to get purified, but the very sight of a pure Vaishnava bestows all auspiciousness upon the onlooker. The miraculous effect of taking darshan of the pure devotees of the Lord can be seen in the case of His divine grace Srila Prabhupad, who inspired thousands of people to take to the process of Krishna consciousness by granting them his darshan and instructing them in the science of Bhakti. The audience with a pure devotee is invested with such great transcendental potency, that although Srila Prabhupad met his Guru Maharaj, Srila Bhakti Siddhanta Saraswati Thakur, only a few times, and although Srila Prabhupad’s numerous disciples had personal association with him only a couple of times, yet the impact of those transcendental dealings was such that Srila Prabhupad received the mercy of his Spiritual Master and similarly his disciples received his mercy. The causeless mercy of the pure devotees is such that even if one has not personally gained their association, just by reading their books and following their instructions one can feel the affectionate blessings of these great personalities. May we all be blessed with the association of such exalted Vaishnavas, so that we may be able to make progress on the path of Bhakti under their guidance.
