The devotees of Iskcon Vrindavan at the Krsna Balarama Mandir have had a very busy year. This year the Devotee Care Department has expanded more than ever before. Those involved have been taking care of several senior devotees with a variety of health concerns, some of them for years now.
Jai Nitai prabhu, the director of the department has been working closely with the temple management and Srutakirti prabhu is also assisting and has a unique perspective due to his personal association with Srila Prabhupada. We understand the great value of every devotee. Srila Prabhupada considered everyone assisting him in his mission to be special and given the best of care when required. We also strive to take all precautions necessary to see that those in the temple are given facility to maintain the best health as prevention of illness is of utmost importance.
Devotee care is a most important service, especially here in Vrindavan where Vaisnavas and Vaisnavis come here more and more for the final years of their lives. The program has expanded to include a number of certified physicians, caretakers and a clinic. By the mercy of Krishna and Balarama we have been able to provide facilities for all that have required it.
Also this year, due to the Covid 19, many devotees have needed hospitalization. This has shown to be very expensive, even in India, and has required several lacs of rupees in the last six months. We are looking to the future, knowing that our services will increase more and more. We appreciate your prayers and well wishes at this time so that we can continue to offer the best of care to all of the Vaishnavas and Vaishnavi’s who come to Vrindavan Dham at this time as well as in the future.
Currently each month the ISKCON Vrindavan clinic gives almost one lakh rupees of allopathic and homeopathic medicine to patients for free.
