After months of Lockdown, wherein the devotees and pilgrims were unable to take darshan of our most merciful and beautiful Lordships Sri Sri Gaur Nitai, Sri Sri Krishna Balaram ad Sri Sri Radha Shyamsundar, the temple, a few months ago, had started allowing restricted darshans for two hours in the mornings and evenings. Although this was wonderful in comparison to the long months of separation when no one was allowed to come to the temple and the only means was to take darshan online, it was still not the same as before as the pilgrims could not stay for the Kirtan and absorb in the transcendental atmosphere of our wonderful temple. The darshan timings were eventually increased and one could come to take darshan for the majority of the day, but even then the visitors were not allowed to freely visit the other areas of the temple and were allowed inside only for a very short time.

Now, after many months of restricted darshans, the temple is open completely for the visiting devotees, who can come at any time during the opening hours of the temple and can roam about freely inside the temple premises, relishing the various wonderful places in the temple like Srila Prabhupada’s Samadhi, Srila Prabhupada’s home, Govinda’s Restaurant and so on. For safety purposes, it is still compulsory to wear masks and maintain social distancing. The entry is still restricted to gate number 2, which is next to the Govinda’s restaurant and it is from here that the guests exit the temple as well. However, inside the temple they are allowed to visit all the places and participate in Kirtan for as long as they want.

Taking advantage of this reopening of the temple, many devotees are already starting to come and visit the temple, participate in the Kirtans and take part in the various other temple programs. The air is once again permeated by excitement and bliss as the visiting devotees are now free to come and spend time taking darshan of the exquisite forms of the Lord and hear the melodious kirtans that go on throughout the day and night. We invite all of you to also come and visit Iskcon Vrindavan with your friends and family and be blessed by the Lord. Please do ensure to wear a mask and take required precautions for your safety and the safety of other fellow pilgrims and devotees. We hope to see you soon in Vrindavan!
