There is no loss comparable to the loss of the association of a Vaishnava, for the vaishnavas are the mercy incarnations of the Lord in this world. It is impossible to attain devotion for the lotus feet of the Lord without the mercy of the Vaishnavas, as Sri Krishna is their property and they alone can give Krishna to us, krishna se tomara, krishna dite paro, tomara sakati ache. The glories of the vaishnavas has been mentioned through out the Vedic literatures, and Sri Krishna Himself has glroified his devotees in various statements. Sri Krishna says, “one who claims to be My devotee is not so. Only a person who claims to be the devotee of My devotee is actually My devotee.” He also says, naham tisthami vaikuntheyoginam hrdayesu vayatra gayanti mad-bhaktah tatra tisthami narada I am not in Vaikuntha nor in the hearts of the yogis. I remain where My devotees engage in glorifying My activities. In Sri Chaitanya Charitamrita, it has been mentioned, ’sādhu-saṅga’, ‘sādhu-saṅga’—sarva-śāstre kayalava-mātra sādhu-saṅge sarva-siddhi hayaThe verdict of all revealed scriptures is that by even a moment’s association with a pure devotee, one can attain all success.Understanding the importance of the association of exalted devotees, who have dedicated their lives in the service of Hari, Guru and Vaishnavas, who would not feel intense pain at the departure of such a wonderful devotee. The community of devotees was plunged into an ocean of grief yesterday, when Pankajanghri Prabhu, one such Vaishnava whose association is most desirable, left us and went to serve his Spiritual master and his worshipable Lords Sri Sri Radha Madhav. Although the disappearance days of great personalities are also occasions to be celebrated, as they are completely under the protection of the Lord and their service continues in the spiritual world, yet it is a great loss for us all. Feeling separation from such great vaishnavas as Pankajanghri is sure to purify us and bring us closer to the Lord. We therefore pray at his lotus feet to bestow his blessings upon us all so that we may be able to follow in his footsteps and dedicate our lives in the service of Srila Prabhupad and the Lords.
