I worship Govinda, the primeval Lord, the first progenitor who is tending the cows, yielding all desire, in abodes built with spiritual gems, surrounded by millions of purpose trees, always served with great reverence and affection by hundreds of thousands of laksmis or gopis.
When Krsna comes to this world, His land also comes. Sri Vrindavan-dhama exists beyond the material world. There, the trees are living desire trees and serve Krsna in so many ways. They are not ordinary living trees and serve Krsna by supplying fruits and flowers. They want that service.
**They give pleasure to Krishna**
(Krishna said to Madhumangala:) “My dear friend, this forest of Vrindavan gives great pleasure to our senses in various ways. Somewhere bumblebees are singing in groups, and in some places mild breezes are cooling the entire atmosphere. Somewhere the creepers and tree twigs are dancing, the mallikā flowers are expanding their fragrance, and an overabundance of juice is constantly flowing in showers from pomegranate fruits.”
Sri Caitanya-caritamrta (Antya-lila 1.160)
In this world, trees like peepal draw ground water due to their expansive root system that keeps the environment cool during summers, supplies oxygen and improve air quality.
Such trees are a source of extensive, cool shade, so that a person can comfortably take a nap and relax in a healthy environment for the cows and calves, that can even happily play.
A wonderful service
Where ever there are trees, there is biodiversity, with different trees bearing flowers and fruits providing a canopy and habitat for butterflies, bees, birds, squirrels.
Biofencing made of either cement, bamboo poles or barbed wire, along with thorn trees such as bougainvillea, rangoon creeper, and so forth, can prevent the entry of monkeys, who destroy the trees.
Planting trees and plants which bear beautiful flowers would make the gaushala look colourful and beautiful. Butterflies, bees, birds would thus become attracted. In this way, the fence would serve several purposes. Vaisnavas can feeding cows fresh grass and give them a good chin rub and hugs. Beautiful trees and a srene green environment would attract visitors to the gaushalla also.
ISKCON Vrindavan Gaushala Planting Program and a beautiful Gaushala for cow protection and service would be a visible change, an Action Program to reduce human impact on climate change and increase cow protection.
You may also help serve the cows in ISKCON Vrindavan gaushala by helping us plant trees by making some donations. Cows are so dear to Lord Krishna, and service to the cows by giving them a nice green environment full of beautiful trees will make Lord happy. By serving the cows, one may please the supreme personality of Godhead Lord Krishna!
